Miss Anna - Principal
Miss Anna is the Principal of the school, She has over 17 years teaching experience and opened the Briar Dance Academy 15 years ago. She teaches Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz along side choreographing and coaching our festival teams to compete nationally.
Miss Anna is fully Qualified with the ISTD & RAD ;

Miss Anna believes every pupil should be given the correct training by qualified teachers in order to gain their full potential and encourage their love of dance in a safe and creative environment.
Miss Emily is a Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Examiner. Miss Emily teaches our Vocational ballet classes as well as our technique lessons.

Miss Emily is passionate about dance and we are thrilled to have her teaching for us, her knowledge and experience are invaluable to developing the pupils love of ballet.
Andre` is a ISTD Tap & Modern examiner, he loves teaching pupils of all ages and is predominantly teaching our vocational Tap & Modern classes.

Andre` started his professional training at the Doreen Bird College of Performing arts, he has travelled the world with his teachning and performing career and his flair for dance and love of teaching will be an inspiration to any pupil!
Miss Connie teaches some of our RAD ballet syllabus classes along with ballet technique and Pointe work classes

I Miss Connie started ballet at the age of 14 and had full time training at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Her major was Ballet, but she also trained in Modern dance and Performing Arts, where she attained an Advanced Diploma in Performing Arts.
She received a scholarship from The Anglo Hong Kong Trust to study a Master Postgraduate Degree in Dance at the University of Surrey, UK. At the same time, she quailfed in teaching training with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), attained Teaching Diploma (Dist), and was awarded Associate of the Academy ARAD, as well as Associate from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance AISTD and Certificate in Dance Education.
Miss connie is a wonderful nuturing teacher and the pupils of all ages love working with her.
Miss Laura trained professionally at Elmhurst School of Dance & Performing Arts, as well as The Baltimore Actor’s Theatre and The Royal Ballet School.
Miss Laura teaches our Stretch & tone classes and works on Jazz technique with the pupils.
Her performing career has taken her on tour in the UK, Europe and around the world. She has extensive experience in musical theatre and as a freelance dancer, choreographer and teacher. Recent UK theatre credits include Dance Captain - Back to the Future the Musical (Manchester Opera House and just announced to transfer to the West End’s Adelphi in Summer 2021); Legally Blonde the Musical (UK/Ireland tour); Big the Musical (UK/Ireland Tour); the original UK Tour of Jackie the Musical and Singin’ in the Rain (Kilworth House Theatre). Choreography includes Jump and Fall Music Video for artist Betsa; Assistant Choreographer on Made in Dagenham at The Arden Theatre School in Manchester, as well as various cruise ship shows and pantos. She has also performed in many of the UK’s biggest pantomimes for companies such as Qdos, First Family Entertainment, UK Productions and Evolution, understudying stars such as Priscilla Presley.

Miss Millie will be teaching our ACRO classes.

Miss Millie has been dancing and performing since she was young, She trained with the Briar Dance Academy where she gained her ISTD Intermediate Tap & Intermediate Modern which has allowed her to enroled in the ISTD teacher training course and she will be working towards her Tap & Modern DDE this year. She is a qualified teacher for our ACRO classes having taken her teaching exams with the Acrobatic Arts examination Board, and so will be entering pupils for Acro exams during the coming term.
Millie has performed in shows and on stages for many years, a personal highlight for her was performing in the WEST END show; Billy Elliot for 4 months. She is passionate about the joy dance can bring, and is very excited to be part of our teaching staff. She is a firm believer that every child deserves a chance on stage and that dance should be accessable to everyone.
